Salting Pasta Water

A lot of folks have strong opinions about this, but you should just do what you want. I’ve lived most of my life with salt-sensitive people, so my habit is not to salt the pasta water. I do find that salting the water for hard boiled eggs helps to seal any cracks and it helps potato dumplings hold together. Other than that, I go easy on the salt. This means that most recipes taste too salty to me.
